Welcome to our meeting this Thursday, 16th April, from 12:30–2:00 PM for our weekly meeting. Our very own Rtn. Michael Vallez will give his job talk.

Michael will share insights from his work with GFP International (Global Faith Partners), an organization focused on addressing global challenges such as access to education, clean water, and economic opportunity. His talk will highlight their efforts to support skills development in Africa, particularly in welding and manufacturing, to better prepare young people for emerging industrial opportunities.

Despite major infrastructure growth, there is still a shortage of locally trained skilled workers across the continent. In response, Michael has worked across multiple African countries with dozens of institutions and school partners, supporting efforts to establish 30 Welding and Manufacturing Centers of Excellence. These initiatives aim to strengthen training systems and equip young people with critical industrial skills. He will share how GFP International is helping drive this effort and the opportunities ahead.
