This Thursday, as we mark the Rotary Club of Nairobi’s 95th Anniversary, our fellowship takes on a powerful topic, “Building Legacies that Endure.”

Rotary has always been more than projects, more than fellowships, it is the legacy we leave behind. Every initiative, every act of service, and every hand extended in friendship becomes part of a story that outlives us. Together, we are shaping futures, strengthening communities, and ensuring that the impact of 95 years continues to echo for generations to come.

We are honoured to have Mark Matthews, author and radio host with ABC Australia, as one of our speakers, sharing his insights on legacies that stand the test of time.

Yesterday’s fellowship on Children & Gadgets – Healthy Habits for a Connected Generation highlighted the vital role we play in guiding young people through the digital world.

We explored how social media shapes their content, conduct, and contact, while also addressing risks such as addiction, unrealistic standards, and virtual violence. Members were encouraged to create family media plans, set tech-free zones, and inspire in-person connections, reminding us that Rotary’s commitment to education and community extends to preparing children for healthier, more balanced lives in a connected generation.

The afternoon was made even more special as we warmly inducted two new members, Martin Mburu and Dr. Monica Erath, into the Rotary Club of Nairobi family.

We invite you to this thought-provoking fellowship featuring two renowned experts; Dr. David Githanga, paediatrician, cardiologist, and public health leader, and Dr. Njeri Karianjahi, adolescent medicine specialist dedicated to shaping healthier transitions for young people. Together, they’ll help us reimagine what it means to raise a connected generation.
