Welcome to our fellowship this Thursday, 19th March, from 12.30 - 2.00pm at Golden Tulip, Westlands.

March is Rotary’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Month, a time when we highlight the importance of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene in building healthy and thriving communities. Our club has an excellent track record in implementing WASH projects across the country, and this Thursday we will hear firsthand from two Rotarians who have used their professional skills to help make some of these projects a success.

We are delighted to have Rtn. Marylyn Musyimi and Rtn. Nichodemus Chege share their experiences of applying their vocations to ensure the successful implementation of our club’s WASH initiatives.

This meeting will also encourage members to become more actively involved in club committees and to bring their professional expertise into Rotary service. Using our vocations as Rotarians is one of the most meaningful ways to enjoy our membership. By applying the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, we can ensure that the projects we deliver to communities are sustainable, well designed, and built to a high standard—not simply handouts, but lasting solutions that truly make a difference.

Rtn. Nichodemus, a Quantity Surveyor, has been instrumental in the execution of three sanitation block projects in Gilgil, Jamhuri, and most recently Bondeni. Rtn. Marylyn, an Architect, served as the project lead for the recently completed Bondeni sanitation block project, guiding it from concept to successful handover.

Come learn how their professional expertise has strengthened Rotary’s impact and how each of us can use our own vocations to support the success of our club’s projects.

Giving vision — both literally and otherwise — has

Giving vision — both literally and otherwise — has always been close to my heart.

During my year of presidency, I wanted my birthday to mean something more.
The Rotary Club of Nairobi will host a Dinner in the Dark — a unique experience where we share a meal in complete darkness, offering a small glimpse into the challenges faced by those living without sight.

All funds raised will go towards supporting the Kenya Society for the Blind Art Centre, helping visually impaired artists continue creating beautiful and inspiring work.

This is a birthday celebration not marked by gifts, but by service, empathy, and impact. Join me as I celebrate this special day with purpose, with love, and with those who matter most.

This is an experience you will not want to miss — and a meaningful opportunity to give back to society.

Join us this Thursday, 12th March 2026, for another engaging club meeting featuring our very own, PP Sudesh Walia.

PP Sudesh will introduce us to Rotary Vocational Training Teams (VTTs)—one of Rotary’s most powerful ways of ensuring the long-term sustainability of our projects. Through VTTs, groups of dedicated professionals travel internationally to share their expertise with local professionals or to learn specialized techniques from them. By exchanging knowledge and strengthening skills on both sides, these teams help build lasting local capacity and ensure that Rotary projects continue to deliver impact long after the initial investment. Many of these initiatives are supported through Rotary Foundation Global Grants and are closely aligned with Rotary’s areas of focus.

Come learn about how Rotary VTTs work, the meaningful impact they create in communities around the world, and how Rotarians can become involved. PP Sudesh will also highlight our club's participation in VTT initiatives, including the Peace VTTs and the current Vision grant VTT, and what opportunities may exist for members interested in taking part.
