Welcome to our fellowship this Thursday, 23rd April 2026.

We are honored to host our guest speaker, Agatha Verdadero, a writer and editor with over three decades of experience. Her remarkable journey has taken her from academia as a tenured assistant professor of literature in Manila to a distinguished career in ghostwriting and, more recently, a focused passion for memoirs and biographies. Agatha has dedicated her work to exploring the intricate, often “labyrinthine” lives of individuals, helping to uncover meaning, legacy, and truth through storytelling.

As a club fortunate to include many talented authors and many more with stories yet to be written Thursday's talk is both timely and inspiring. Each of us carries a wealth of experiences, lessons, and legacies that deserve to be shared, not only for our own reflection but to inspire others.

Let us take this opportunity to listen, learn, and perhaps be encouraged to begin telling our own stories.

Welcome to our meeting this Thursday, 16th April,

Welcome to our meeting this Thursday, 16th April, from 12:30–2:00 PM for our weekly meeting. Our very own Rtn. Michael Vallez will give his job talk.

Michael will share insights from his work with GFP International (Global Faith Partners), an organization focused on addressing global challenges such as access to education, clean water, and economic opportunity. His talk will highlight their efforts to support skills development in Africa, particularly in welding and manufacturing, to better prepare young people for emerging industrial opportunities.

Despite major infrastructure growth, there is still a shortage of locally trained skilled workers across the continent. In response, Michael has worked across multiple African countries with dozens of institutions and school partners, supporting efforts to establish 30 Welding and Manufacturing Centers of Excellence. These initiatives aim to strengthen training systems and equip young people with critical industrial skills. He will share how GFP International is helping drive this effort and the opportunities ahead.
