Eye Camp Rotary
The Rotary Club of Nairobi, under the constant stewardship of Honorary Rotarian Dr. Mukesh joshi, has run the Kenya Rural Blindness Eradication Project since its inception in 1985. A record of 1006 cataract operations were performed during Rotary year 2013/14 alone, which is world’s highest record achieved by a single rotary club. The project takes place every year to date. Screening is done in various parts of Kenya like: Nyanza Province, Rift valley and the Western Province. Dr. Joshi and his team of Ophthalmologists. The clinical Assistants screen Patients in Rural areas like: Siaya, Ahero, Kapsabet, Kericho, Kisii, Eldoret etc.
